I know Mondays are usually slow and sluggish for me and when I feel this way I turn to music. This week I'd like to highlight the work of Philly's own, G. Love. Not only is his blues, rock, rap, and reggae inspired music good to chill out to, but he puts on one hell of a show. I saw him live last Spring and it was one of the best shows I have seen yet, intimate while remaining energetic. (Side bar I saw him and Tristan Prettyman doing this one together and there were indeed sparks, very believable duet.) When I listen to this song I know the rest of my week can only get better!

Make Me A Supermodel Season 2

Once again Tyson Beckford is back (with some other bored sounding model chick) as the host of one of Bravo's greatest shows. Our pick for the winner: Jordan, even though she is a huge bitch. We do have one important question- How on earth as someone as hot to trot as Colin remained a virgin for so long? That situation should be corrected.

“Fashion anticipates, and elegance is a state of mind ... a mirror of the time in which we live, a translation of the future, and should never be static.”
Oleg Cassini
No one could have said it better than the great Oleg Cassini who made a name for himself by dressing Jackie Kennedy during her years in the White House. As many followers of fashion have already noted, it is great that Michelle Obama has brought fashion back to Pennsylvania Avenue. Her ability to effortlessly pull of the prints of Thakoon or the simplicity of J.Crew is something this country has not seen in a first lady since those brief Kennedy years. It obvious that Jackie had the ability to influence those of her time and impact the future, as fashion editors everywhere still use her as a point of reference for timeless pieces. Michelle is fast on her way to becoming our era's political fashion icon. And that's a good look.
